Craniosacral Therapy developed from the work of American Osteopath Dr William Sutherland in the early 1900’s.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a non-mechanical, non-manipulative treatment, which is a subtle and profound healing form promoting the body’s natural capacity for self-repair.
During sessions patients will lie fully clothed on a treatment couch and very gentle hands-on contact is made by the therapist in order to listen to the body’s needs and facilitate healing. This treatment can address physical aches and pains, acute and chronic illness, emotional and psychological disturbances or simply help develop wellbeing, health and vitality.
Craniosacral Therapy is non-invasive and subtle, making it suitable for babies, children and all adults including the elderly. It is also particularly suitable for people in fragile or acutely painful conditions.
Craniosacral Therapy is commonly known for its treatment of babies of any age as it can gently help to resolve problems associated with birth and the symptoms this can produce eg. Sleep disturbances, feeding problems and infantile colic.
