What is Kinesiology.?

Kinesiology is a holistic system of natural health care which uses muscle monitoring to detect imbalances which prevent a person from functioning optimally.

 

History

It draws on the principles of of Chiropractic, Traditional Chinese Medicine and the science of muscle movement. The emphasis with Kinesiology is to always look at all areas of health and in particular the relationships between structural, chemical/nutritional, and emotional aspects of a persons well being.

 

What Does it do.?

Through the use of gentle muscle monitoring imbalances in the persons system can be detected. It can also establish connections between imbalances, put them in order of priority and determine the most effective solution to restore balance. Looking at the person's posture and quality of muscle response, a Kinesiologist can bring awareness to habits, and body patterning which inhibit function.

 

Working in conjunction with the client various correction methods are used to restore balance and improve well being.

 

 

Balancing

In Kinesiology, the treatment itself is referred to as a "Balance". A client will be asked to place their limbs in various positions to test the quality of muscle response. The correction process can take many forms as we are always addressing the body holistically. the likely corrections used to restore balance would be touch reflexes, cranial points, structural work on the muscles, meridian pathways, nutritional changes, or working with emotional responses.

Who is Balancing Suitable for.?

Athletes, performers, the fit, the injured,  dyslexics children, those looking to achieve specific goals, and the generally "Stressed out"!!.

 

What are the benefits.?

The belief central to Kinesiology is that health comes from being in balance with all things. When we are free from negatives stress and "in balance" the possibilities are wide and varied, benefits include:

  • Increased energy and vitality, improved posture, and relief from physical pain and tension.

  • Assistance to change attitudes, and unhelpful behavior.

  • Release from and the assistance to manage emotional stress.

  • Enhanced brain function and therefore improved co-ordination, reading, writing, sporting performance and artistic skill.

  • The discovery of individual nutritional needs and sensitivities.

  • It is also an excellent preventative measure and can enhance the health of the healthy.
